Online Green Thumb Gardening classes start this Thursday

Hi all,

 

Online Green Thumb Gardening Class Series on Vegetable Gardening start this Thursday January 9 from 5:30-7:30 pm. Help keep your vegetable garden thriving! Classes are suitable for newer gardeners as well as more experienced gardeners. Visit the Dane County Extension website https://dane.extension.wisc.edu/horticulture/green-thumb-vegetable/ to learn about and register for our online 11-class series on Thursday nights starting January 9, 2025.

You can purchase the class series for a package price or purchase selected classes. Classes are taught by UW specialists and the Dane County Extension Horticulture Educator, UW-Madison specialists and the Dane County Extension Natural Resources Educator. Topics include planning the vegetable garden, soils and fertilizers, starting seeds, vegetable crops and specialized garden techniques, composting, vegetable disease management, vegetable insect management, weed management, cover crops, Succession Planting, Companion Planting, and Season Extension and a final class on seed saving, crop harvesting and crop storage.

All classes except the plant disease class will be recorded. You will get access to the recording of classes and get the PowerPoint slides and other handouts as well.
