 Dr. K.K.N Kurup, the renowned historian and the former Vice Chancellor of Calicut University took charge as the Director General of Ma'din Academia for Research and International Studies (MARIS). 

Dr. Kurup, a key member in various governmental and non governmental bodies, will specially lead the Ma'din Manuscripts Foundation, Academic Councils and coordinate different research initiatives with foreign universities.
' His appointment will boost Ma'din Academy's international collaboration with Universities and various academic agencies': opined Sayyid Ibrahimul Khaleelul Bukhari, Ma'din chairman.
