Griffit University and Ma’din Academy inked an agreement

Brisbane: Multi Faith Centre of Griffit University and Ma’din Academy, Malappuram inked an agreement with a view to collaborate on initiatives that will promote interfaith harmony and intercultural dialogues across the world. The agreement followed elaborate discussions between Brian J Adams, Director, Griffit Multi Faith Centre and Sayyid Ibraimul Khaleel Bukhari, Chairman, Ma’din Academy .
The Interfaith Conference to be held in Australia in connection with the coming G20 Summit of November 2013 will see both institutes working together to host interfaith seminars and publish on harmony. Ariel Pearse of Multi Faith Centre, Dr.Mohammed Abdulla, Griffit Islamic Research Unit, Interfaith Director Dr. Albert Swan, Abdul Jaleel Elim, Mufti Siad Ravath, Abbas Panakkal and Ummer Melmuri were present at the signing ceremony.
Earlier in the week, Sayyid Ibraimul Khaleel Bukhari attended different programmes organized by community leaders in Brisbane, Sydney and Canberra. Thousands of students from Brisbane Islamic College participated in the Reason for Mercy Campaign.
Sayyid Ibraimul Khaleel Bukhari is with a team of experts who are on a trip to the West Pacific as part of a research programme on the migration of Malayali Ancestors to the West Pacific. The team will proceed to Fiji where they will attend different sessions organized by the local people.
