Celebrate Dopamine Day on February 14! As you may be aware from previous years, I'm championing the alternative holiday "Dopamine Day" to Valentines Day. Valentine's Day is really about dopamine, after all - the surprises, the candy, the romance. But dopamine isn't just for lovers and Dopamine Day is for everyone. Attached or not, spend Dopamine Day trying something new, indulging yourself in favorite activities, and/or partaking of a vice. (Whatever you do - make sure to look forward to it - lots if dopamine involved in that!) While dopamine has a dangerous edge, the drive from our dopamine system adds so much dimension to our lives and should be appreciated and celebrated!

(BTW, that first slogan "you 'dopamine' me" seemed right, in a "you raise my dopamine" way. Telling someone that I 'dopamine' you seemed a bit presumptive, like "you love me.")
