I thought I would share recipients of the Indiana Arts Commission Grant Recipients in GC.

Stacy Samm* - SAM I AM Art Program - Shakamak SP $3,000 

SAMM I AM art in the park grant money will be used to purchase supplies and hours of time put in to teaching others to paint. Their will be a total of 7 days spread out through the summer and fall. Each day will persist of 2 classes, one for children and the other for adults with up to 15 painters in each class. Painters will be able to take their painting home when class is over for the day.   

Friends of Shakamak* - Greene Music in the Park - Shakamak SP $3,000 

The Friends of Shakamak Music in the Park program includes a summer music enrichment series with inclusive classes geared toward elementary aged children and individuals with special needs as well as two community concerts planned in conjunction with Shakamak State Park’s annual Christmas in July and Fall Festival celebrations.
