The Greene County Tourism Advisory Board (GCTAB) is proud to announce the 7th Annual "Made-in-Greene-County" Showcase. The goal of the event is to showcase the varied talent and handi-work of residents from across Greene County. The doors will be open to shoppers from 9am to 3pm. The event is limited only to vendors who make their products in Greene County.
Early Registration is now open for past vendors and will be open until Friday, September 14th, so be sure to get registered ASAP as booth spaces are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Announcement to the public for vendor registration will be made sometime in early August, so you have an early jump to reserve your booth space.
Please note that careful review of vendor booths with be made the day of the sale. Any items not handmade cannot be sold and the vendor will be asked to remove them from their booth. This includes tart warmers, candles, mail-order primitive items, and any other items directly purchased for retail. Purchased items may be used as a sample or preview of how a handmade item might be used, but that item cannot be sold.
Likewise, it is imperative by State Law that any vendor wishing to sell perishable food or beauty aid item that is handmade, such as baked goods, jellies, lotions, creams, or similar item sold that may be ingested or designed to come in direct contact with the body, must have a sign clearly posted stating, "Made in Home Kitchen". Event organizers will be reviewing each booth to ensure each vendor is in compliance.
As noted previoously, GCTAB promised to ensure that the first 3 years of the event to be completely free of charge. This being the 7th year for the event, this is the 4th year that booth space will require a minimal fee. These fees will help to cover costs of the event, as well as provide an opportunity to expand our marketing and advertising to facebook and other media platforms, as funding allows.
Booth space reservations remain on a first come, first serve basis, until all spaces are filled.
Please spread the word about this unique opportunity, especially to non-profit organizations, youth groups, school clubs, churches, and other project committees that might want to organize a fundraiser to sell baked goods, amateur art, photography, or handmade items.
GCTAB hopes that the "Made-in-Greene-County" Showcase will bring much success to our many talented Greene County producers.
And...don't forget to tell all your friends, family, and neighbors to come visit us at the showcase!
