Hi everyone:
Just wanted to drop a mail saying that the group is up and working. It
came to my notice that some(most) of u r not happy with GOOGLE
group(look at the mails posted since the group started). It doesnt have
the basic features like uploading the files and photos. If u guys
think, we need such facility in future, I think its not late to create
a yahoo group. what do u all say?
Feel free to provide ur inputs,.,, esp: all of u.

well, don use gmail a lot, so hv no idea... but frm wht i hear, many peopel prefer gmail over yahoo... hv no idea abt the file uploads. personally i wud prefer gmail.. just coz my inbox is comparitively empty here :-P

Howdy folks,

 

It definitely goes without saying that gmail is the fastest and reliable service. However, Google Groups (as of now ) is less attractive as it lacks features like photo sharing, specific file storage system and any photo viewing options unlike Yahoo . On closer look, photo sharing should not be a big deal, since we can always create an account with webshots or anyother website, which is purely dedicated to photo sharing. That way, we get the best of bargains. We still have the option of sending attachments to the group's email address, which remains in the group archive, ( when u logon through groups.google.com). The only limitation being restirction on size of attachment (1 Mb), normally Gmail allows 10 Mb attachment.

Last but not the least, it should be mentioned that Google Group member can read and search all public Google Groups content, including more than 1 billion postings from the Usenet Bulletin board service, dating back to 1981. In case you just thought..wat the heck is Usenet ?....well, it is one of the oldest computer network communications systems, in vogue over the last 25 years !.. In short,  it has info about everything you want to know!

 

 I would like to stick to gmail...rather than yahoo....cmmon guys! gmail is the future..!

As the admin, Mr. Natty says the group isnt kicking much, I thought I would do my part. The lyrics of indian songs always surprise me. I some times feel their sole objective is to link every god damn event/ phenomenon / fact on the planet with "love". So, I tried to reason out a song:
