Maydm Amazing Race

Maydm is a great organization and they need all the help they can get especially with marketing this first ever event.

 

I wanted to take the opportunity to share some more information with you about an awesome event that’s coming up this spring to support a local organization called Maydm. They are a local non-profit group with a focus on building a better and brighter tech industry. Their mission is to promote racial equity and gender equality in STEM disciplines by providing girls and students of color, in grades 7-12, with skill-based and workforce training in the technology sector. Maydm's holistic approach to teaching and mentorship prepares students from underrepresented populations to not only engage with the tech industry but also to revolutionize it.

Their upcoming fundraising event is called the Amazing Maydm Race.  It  is a competition in style of the similarly named TV competition. On May 4, 2019, teams of 2 or 4 individuals will trek around downtown Madison, completing a series of intellectual and physical challenges to advance to the next local businesses or landmark destination. The first team to complete the challenges and arrive at the final destination, wins. There will be prizes, an after party, and of course time spent outside in beautiful downtown Madison.
