With everything awesome going on with Windows 8 development, Travis and I were looking forward to a meeting this month - but as I tweeted, scheduling conflicts for other speakers did not allow for one last week.  And with Thanksgiving coming up next week - we talked to Heather at Herzing ( who is truly awesome ) and she gave us special access to have a meeting tomorrow!

So, for all of you as excited as we are -- join us tomorrow for a special meeting "Windows 8 in the Wild"!

Come play with new Windws 8 devices - such as the new WinRT Surface I bought. :)

Also note --- we are planning a very special full day event -- hands on development with Windows 8 -- Friday Nov 7th.  Will send out the official info asap - but want to give everyone a heads up!

"Windows 8 in the Wild"

Windows 8 has finally been released into the wild.  What kind of apps can I build for it?  What can I do with it?  During this talk we will go over the new app projects in Visual Studio 2012 that are only available for Windows 8.  There's also a rumor that a Windows 8 Phone might be showing up to the meeting and maybe we can see what it can do and talk about the new projects that are available for the Windows Phone 8.  You can't put it off any longer, it's time to start learning more about Windows 8.
