1) Herzing is closed this week - so our meeting is scheduled for next week July 13th - and it will be awesome.

 

We have Microsoft's own Mike Benkovic driving out from Minnesota -- to give the following talk...

 

“Rock Paper Azure on Windows Phone”

 

Does what I know that you know about me, lead me to believe that you’re the type of person who would throw a Rock, Paper or Scissors in this next round? Coming this fall Microsoft will be running Rock Paper Azure tournaments at some area conferences including HDC, St. Louis Day of .NET and Minnesota Developer Conference where participants are able to design and build logic into a ‘bot’ to compete for prizes and prestige as we have fun with the cloud and some friendly competition..

 

In this session we look at how we can build a mobile client to practice the game on the Windows Phone, where we connect it to the cloud to try our hand to see if we can beat the system.  From designing and deploying WCF Services, to Authentication to SQL Azure and Cloud Storage we will have some fun and see if we have what it takes to become an RPA Grand Master.

 

2) Next month - mark your calendars, we have our presentation on August 3rd -- and it's on Parallent Programming in .NET -- and will be fantastic!
