Sending out another reminder that the next Presentation meeting was moved to Wed the 20th as many people had conflicts this week - and will be in room #123

Phil has volunteered to talk some about "Dependency Injection and IoC with MVC" - thanks Phil!

Encourage others that work with MVC to choose a topic ( or take this time to learn a topic for the first time ) - and just talk briefly at the meeting, shoot me an email on what you would like to share - and I'll pass it along before the meeting. :)

MVC4 + NuGet + EF + T4 == Tools Every Developer Should Pack for the Web

Presentation Meeting: Wednesday, June 6th

A fast paced overview of how to utilize some of the best tools for modern web development.  In under an hour we'll go from no code to thousands of lines of code - making a website that will make YOU look like the .NET rock star you are!

So we continue to press the envelope in regards to meetings, wanted to try something different -- firstly, no slides on this one -- and I've easily got an hours worth of contents to go over -- but would also like to include others that have been doing cool things with MVC4 and associated Web development - but not a whole talks worth.

So would like others that are interested to talk about what they're using -- to drop me a line and then talk / show off some of the following topics that I'm not working on yet -- would like to hear / see the following topics ( but certainly open to others as well )

I'll be minimally going over  --

  • MVC4 goodness
  • NuGet
  • Entity Framework ( model first )
  • POCO and custom T4 code generation
  • Little KendoUI
  • Dependency Injection and IoC with MVC -- Phil will be talking about this - thanks Phil!

And would love to have others briefly talk on some, all or other topics like the following

  • MVC4 WebAPI
  • KendoUI ( will be showing off HTML, but if you're using others controls - bring'em on! )
  • Entity Framework ( code first - EF4.3 )
  • What ever else you think is cool, etc
This will be a great discussion where we will all walk away with tools we may not have even seen or used before for our day-to-day development.
