Dearest Beloved Dancers,

I'm sending this to invite you to my wave at Heaton Conscious Dance Group tomorrow at Heaton Community Centre Trewhitt Road Heaton, full details below.

Recently I've been going through a really tough time, a real dark night of the soul you could say. This week it feels like I'm on the other side of it. I'm incredibly grateful to a few friends who've helped me through, without whom I dont think I would have made it. 

As I often do, I've put my experience into a wave, it's a really precious way for me to process challenging times, to find the music that speaks to it and to share it with other dancers on the dancefloor. 

Today I found this poem I wrote a while back and it seems relevant so I thought I'd share it with you here. 

When there is so much death, destruction and war in the world, it's easy to feel hopeless and insignificant.

Asking 'what can I do?'

What we can all do, is hold love and hope in our hearts and send it out into the world.

Whenever I've been in dark spaces and I have known there are people praying for me sometimes I can feel the light permeating through the darkness. 

To know that they are thinking of me creates a bridge out of the darkness and helps me find my way home. 

However you feel, remember this too shall pass.

We begin at 7.20 to arrive and warm up

The wave starts at 7.40 and we finish at 9pm with a short circle 

£5 or whatever you can afford, no one turned away for lack of funds

Profits go to bursaries to support Newcastle Dancers.
