Dancing for Women at the Derwentside Immigration Removal Centre and for You!

Dear Dancers

I'm dancing the Movement Medicine 72 hour long dance 10 weeks post knee replacement surgery. 

I think it's fair to say I'll mostly be sitting and lying down!

I wasn't going to ask for sponsorship as I felt I wasn't 'doing it properly' but I'm quickly realising I really need your support energetically in wishing me well as it will be a real challenge for mind, body and soul. 

I've chosen to raise money for Friends across borders who offer a friendly face and some basics like clothes, shoes, toiletries and phone cards for women detained at the immigration removal centre near Consett. Most of them have experience of domestic violence and often come to the centre with nothing. 

So I'd love it if you could sponsor me, even a very small amount would be amazing.
