Hello dancers

The Live Rhythms band warmly invite you to join us for an evening of improvised music for your dancing pleasure.

In the Celtic wheel of the year we passed through Imbolc (first day of Spring 1st February) with the first snowdrops and crocuses emerging amidst the heavy rain 

The light is slowly returning and the land is beginning to awaken. For ourselves we can reflect on our Wintering and how it feels to take the first steps into the outer world - meeting ourselves and each other as we begin our dance of creativity and manifestation ....

Practicals

Please arrive from 5.45 so we can start at 6pm

We begin with a welcome circle and warm up straight into our dance.

We end with a short closing circle around 7.45.

We will play a live set of music for you. We are taking inspiration from each other, from the dancers, from nature, from themes which emerge and our our shared experience of playing together for many years. 

We will bring African drums, hand pans, cello, piano and our voices and our session ends with a time of relaxation.
