Next meet of the organising committee (1st MAY 2013 at 5.30 pm)

Hello all,

After being away for a couple of weeks, am back in Chennai today

 

Had a wonderful meet with Atul Kochhar at his restaurant, Benares, in London, last Wednesday and the dinner at his place was outstanding

 

He has confirmed his participation and will also do a demo for the students / alumni at the college on the 16th of August. He has also confirmed that he will send in 4 recipes for the book as well.

 

Also, met up with the MADCATS in Dubai over a pint and muttai appams last Saturday!! You would have already seen the pictures posted on MCW FB page by Shiyam.

 

We were 9 of us, including a Delhi pass out. Most of the MADCATS will be sending their registration through Shiyam Sunder, who is coming down to Chennai later this week. There were also enquiries from this group as to how they could contribute to the CSR activities, in case they were not able to make it for the Golden Jubilee. This has already been raised by Ashok Davidson in a mail last week and we should formulate a plan for this as well

 

To get an update of all the latest happenings, I suggest that the organising commitee meet next week (Wednesday, the 1st of May) at The Pasta Bar Veneto in Burkitt Road, T Nagar at around 530 pm.

 

Will speak to the committee heads over the next few days to get myself updated, prior to the meet

It is a joy to hear about your trip, the photos and Madcats abroad would have loved the meet and you may have helped to renew their spirits by meeting them in person by taking the Golden jubilee message personally to them. Beyond Facebook, email, phone calls, etc., reaching out to our beloved Madcats in their hometown is such a fabulous act of bringing the Madcat world even closer. My sincere suggestion is that you should continue this effort until August 16 to reach out as many countries, cities as possible and spread the magical cheer around the Globe!
