I have 3 bee hives, one in my backyard, and 2 with friends on the north shore of Lake Mendota.

I am not trying to brag here, but I do want to quietly mention that this is the 5th spring in a row that ALL my hives lived over winter.   I have a method that will work for anyone, using any kind of equipement, commercial or hobby.

If you are interested, I will be happy to share my method with you.  Phone 608-244-509
Or send me an email.

Beekeeping is is MORE fun when bees live over winter!

Congratulations! I'd love to know more about your method.  I have 1 one 3 colonies alive and last year I had 2 of 4 survive.

Thanks,

Jeanne,
At our meeting three weeks ago, the Club enjoyed hearing from several folks around the table about what they thought were the salient factors in either their successes or their losses.  Would you be willing to share on the listserv what you consider to be the key aspects of your approach?  I'd be interested to read it, and I expect many others would also.

Thanks for considering, and also, congratulations on your five-year successes!

Hi Jeanne

It sounds like you had every right to brag! As a new beekeeper I would love to know more. My first hive last year didn’t even make it to winter so I’m hoping for better luck this year - and now with three hives!! And all up north as well!! Whatever insights you can share, I would be grateful!! Thanks for offering!!

I realize “luck” is just a common word to use, but keeping bees alive has little to do with luck.

Hi Jeanne, I too would like to hear how you take care of your bees for winter survival.
