Winter Survival

I have 3 bee hives, one in my backyard, and 2 with friends on the north shore of Lake Mendota. 

 I am not trying to brag here, but I do want to quietly mention that this is the 5th spring in a row that ALL my hives lived over winter.   I have a method that will work for anyone, using any kind of equipement, commercial or hobby.

It sounds like you had every right to brag! As a new beekeeper I would love to know more. My first hive last year didn’t even make it to winter so I’m hoping for better luck this year - and now with three hives!! And all up north as well!!
