Hi everyone

I checked hives yesterday and my standard hive has only drone cells, and a whole lot more than last week. Also, they're laying in my supers! Obviously a laying worker.

Their requeening definitely wasn't successful. 

I know it's collapsing at this point. Unsure whether I could save it. I've read that i could move the hive 50+ yards away and shake them all off, bring it back to original location and let the workers come back - then combine it with another / try new queen.

Any suggestions on this? 

My long langstroth hive does have female capped brood and open larvae, but I still didn't see any eggs. Either the new queen hasn't returned yet or had also failed. If anyone has a queen for this hive, I'd really like to try to save it. 

I actually did a mite count from the frames with the most capped cells and have zero in the standard, and either 1 or zero from the long hive. I am not convinced and didn't have time to filter the wash and get a good look at what's in it. For sure 2 fruit flies. There's one more speck to look at.
