Does anyone have experience?  One of my hives has a virgin queen, with possibly two weeks until she is strong enough to fly out and mate.  What is the latest some of you have had a queen mate successfully in Autumn?

Thru September - not a problem at all IF the weather is permitting (which looks OK).
I never had problems mating in September - this is a significant number of queens too.

If you have a virgin today (of unknown age) - chances are good she'll be laying already in two weeks IF everything else works out.

Bigger question is - what happens to the colony that starts with a newly mated queen in late September.
How are you going to deal with it.
