If anyone is in Fitchburg and willing to lend out a suit I'm sure they would appreciate it.

Message Body:
Hello,
Just wondering if you rent bee suits or have one to borrow. I live in Fitchburg and I have a bad Yellowjacket nest in my yard. It's right by my patio and a danger to me and my family. I saw techniques online of pouring soapy water into the hive (like 5 gallons x 2/3 times) and then digging the nest up. The people doing this are wearing bee suits.
Thanks,

Based on personal experience eliminating many yellow jacket hives, try the following.
Soak the entire area by letting a hose run slowly over / in the nest all day. Once soaked lay a 20lb bag of ice on top of the nest for a few hours. That night after air temp drops and the ground temp drops the yellow jackets should be good and dopey and you should be able to approach and treat the hive with whatever approach you choose without a cloud rising to meet you.

Mark where the nest is during the day. Then go out after dark when they’re all in the hole with a jar or can stuffed (3” or4” opening) with a rag or sponge stuffed in it and soaked with gasoline and put the jar over the hole. If it’s in the grass bring something to put on top of the jar to hold it tight to the ground. Wasps should be dead by morning.
Great Stuff works well also if you don’t like the idea of using gasoline. Buy the cheap stuff. After dark again go out to the hole with the Great Stuff with the hose already attached. Stick the hose as far down the hole as possible and pull the trigger for just a second or two.  The foam will expand and fill the hole permanently. Put a rag around the hose if you’re worried about them coming up. The expanding foam works well if the hole is in a hole in a house or shed.
