Hi friends,
We have our monthly beekeeping meeting this Tuesday at Pinney Library, which is at 516 Cottage Grove Rd, Madison.

Joe will share the second half of his presentation from April, focusing on queen-rearing and the theory and fundamentals of splitting hives.  We'll also protect time for a round-robin Q&A about what we're seeing in our hives and get feedback from beekeepers in the group.

Heads up that a number of us are behind in our dues.  Ellen Leiferman (our Treasurer - thank you, Ellen!) will bring a spreadsheet to Tuesday's meeting for you to check on your status, but you may all names/emails in our system for several more weeks to give everyone a chance to bring themselves up-to-date.  The dues are $15 per household, and they provide the means to get swarm alerts, use the club extractor, and participate in the club's genetics improvement project at the club apiary, among other benefits.

Looking forward to seeing everyone Tuesday at what will likely be the last indoor meeting until fall.
