hello!
I found both articles to be very interesting. "The Crystal Goblet"
article was very resourcefull. I began to think about type in a number
of different ways. Such as, how our subconcious mind reacts to certain
headlines, letter spacing, capitalization and long drawn out words. A
Typeographer is the base and foundation that book printing relies on.
The role of type is much more important then one usually
acknowledges.
The article on "Enlightenment Origins" went further into the history
of type and how type became about in structure, design and
measurement. This was a fascinating article. The computer has made
things so much easier to accomplish. The amount of thought, time and
dedication taken in account before the computer was outstanding.
