separately, or both in one response?

Your approach, separate or together, may be indicative of your
response, ie. they're related, or they're totally different. So, it's
really up to you.

Did anyone else make the connection on the second paragraph on page
four ; How the typography was becoming more 'Modernized' like the
architecture in France in the 1700's. One typeface (Garmond) In
particular, How line quality was becoming more apparent especially in
the caps, how the counters in the rounded letters were more spacious,
and the contour of the line would vary in weight. I feel this approach
was similar to how the buildings were starting to take shape and stray
away from the gothic style. Things were becoming more solid, bold and
it wasn't about making everything so vertical narrow and careful
detailed. The new approach was to let the letterform stand for itself
for what it was. It wasn't about making over powering details and
reinventing the old.
