Seeking a Rails ninja/mentor for a startup idea: Streamlined machine learning for bioacoustics

I am seeking a mentor that can guide me in the early stages of developing a web application for a startup idea. I would like to create a simple UX/UI to facilitate rapid classification of audio data using machine learning. I have experience in Python and Java, but I am new to RoR and web development. As of this writing, I've planned the high-level implementation details and have begun development.

What I'm looking for

• An experienced Rails developer
• Someone who I can pair program with and consult with in the early stages of development
• Can meet for 1-3 hrs per week
• I am willing to compensate you for your time. We can negotiate a fair price.

It's somewhat off topic but I have also been doing some research with machine learning in Ruby. My project is rather small and revolves around plant identification. But I found libsvm and its related svm gem to  be invaluable assets. If you are running a debian based distro setup is just a matter of 

sudo apt-get install libsvm3 libsvm-dev libsvm-tools

sudo gem install rb-libsvm
