June Mad Graphic Novel Group: Local and Hipster Hitler

As I am waiting for the Madlab to put up my event post for the next
group, I thought I would put it here for members to see.

For the June 7th meeting, we’re going all Indie like and have chosen
the book Local http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Local_(comics), written by
Brian Wood, the writer behind DMZ and New York Four and drawn by Ryan
Kelly, The Artist behind a large part of the Lucifer series.
Local contains twelve interconnected stories focused around Megan
McKeenan, focusing on her journey to find a place she can call home
along as well as stories about the people she meets over one year. The
book will be taken by the one and only Omar Johnson (@threefournine),
a long standing member of the mad graphic novel group.
Our web comic is a rather new one called Hipster Hitler (http://
hipsterhitler.com/), Started in 2010, this is a humorous take on a
Hitler who, if he is going to take over the world with his right wing
oppressive views, has to be original, not that any of you wouldn’t
understand.
We have our usual routine of getting pizza (two for Tuesday, w00t) and
a recommended donation of a quid or two to the Mad lab would be
appreciated to thank them for giving us a space to use for out
#Mad_Gng.
