in any case, i'll kick it off. the group of VA-based game organizers i
started, capital r games, is holding a nam-themed event on august 23,

Vietnam Airsoft is a mixture of simulated combat operations and military
activities similar to living history or reenactments. Vietnam Airsoft
simulations are enhanced when players wear period clothing, language, and
props. Charm school is a learning event that will give individuals a chance
to learn more about the history, tactics, and other topics that will help
them more accurately portray US military or VC / NVA solders.
Participants can choose a US or VC/NVA experience. You will learn about the
history of Vietnam, language including common and military phrases,
historical military tactics and techniques, and communication skills in a
classroom environment.
This event is open to new recruits as well as troops on their second or
third tours of the Nam.
The only requirement is that you have a Vietnam era weapon and appropriate
footwear. Please contact us if you have any questions on your Airsoft model.
US Grunts - We will supply helmets, uniforms, and web gear for participants.
Viet Cong / North Vietnamese's Army troops - we will supply hats, uniforms,
and weapon equipment.

The total cost of this event is: $25
Field fee: $15 per person - free if you have a Tolland season pass
Event fee $10 - covers the costs of the training aids / props / manuals and
other materials that will be provided to each participant.
There is no cost to sign up for the event - you pay on the day of the game.
