A combination of a very stong effort by West Virginia and awful fundamentals by WMU amounted to a 79-54 loss for
the Broncos in Orlando this afternoon.

The Mountaineers scored the first 16 points of the game and later went on a 24-4 run the close the first half and
led 44-11 at the break. Western had more turnovers than field goal ATTEMPTS in the first half. Hey, at least the
Broncos outscored WVU 7-4 in the half when the Mountaineers weren't on a huge run. ;)

Western actually ended the game on a 37-19 run and outscored West Virginia overall in the second half to make the
final score lopsided rather than laughable.

I mentioned Western was a young team and it took them nearly 30 minutes to solve John Belein's 1-3-1 zone.
West Virginia is good, but probably no better than the VTech team Western beat last night. That's not to say
that Western should have won today, it just illustrates how up and down this team can expect to be.

Western plays Marist tomorrow in the 3rd place game.

Bronco football beat Akron today and should play in a bowl game for the first time in forever. Ameer Ismail
set the MAC season record with his 17th sack of the year.
