Word is getting around the net that Kent State is doing a top-to-bottom review of sports in light of the NCAA approval of "cost of attendance."  I'm not convinced the review is actually a result of that as much as in anticipation of what everybody knew was coming.  But after UAB dropped football the question has been "whose next."  Not to knock Kent in and of itself, but of any program in the MAC, that is the one I'd have put money would be the first to consider dropping something like Football, EMU second.  More specifically, I wouldn't be shocked if Kent tries some attempt at pushing a drop to a lower division and to attract a few companion schools to do the same.

Anybody else hearing word of anything out there?
