OT - for our few soccer fans / story about D.C. United sale and new stadium

I believe there are two posters (I remember one - he lives on a 'distant, but pleasant, island') who follow MLS and were interested in a new stadium for D.C. United.

 

I didn't see it in the article, but the predicate for this the sale and building a new stadium was the transfer of the land from the Federal gov't to D.C.   (The Federal gov't and D.C. traded land like two baseball teams trade players).  I believe Bush signed the legislation sometime in December.
