Hi, everyone!

I found that the spec2006 trace downloaded from code.google can not be used by macsim2.01. Does anyone know how to translate trace from version 1.2 to 2.01?

Thanks!

  Hi,

Change the first line of the .txt file from

    1 x86

    to

    x86
    1

  That should fix it.

  Thanks,
  nagesh

hi, very sorry for the radio silence.
googlecode doesn't allow us to upload new releases, so we are transitioning to github repository.
please visit our new github repository (https://github.com/macsimgt/macsim-traces/releases).
also note that you can find macsim-2.0.2 from https://github.com/macsimgt/macsim-public.

Hi,
I have tried the version 2.02 you mentioned and also the lastest version of macsim with the spec2006 trace from your github repository.
And I still get the errors that ASSERT FAILED: t_uop->m_num_dest_regs <= MAX_DESTS.
Can you tell me how to fix them??
Thanks for your kind help!!!
Best,
Evania

This problem is typically caused by using mis-matched version of traces.
Please make it sure you are using the traces that are generated by the corresponding macsim tools directories.
