trace_reader tool error

Hi All,

I am new to using mac-sim. I am using the trace_reader tool to splice up a raw trace file (x86, single-thread) into multiple sub-files. 

The compilation goes fine, but when I try to run the trace_reader command, it gives me the following segmentation fault. I aslo tried the xalancbmk raw file shown in the README file, but it still gives me the same error:-
