Hi all,

I didn't find the difference between --call-summit and refinepeak for MACS 2. Is there a difference ?
And how each of this program call smaller peaks ? Because I've just found this information about --call-summit :"MACS will now reanalyze the shape of signal profile to deconvolve subpeaks within each peak called from general procedure. ", and this about refinepeaks :"Take raw reads alignment, refine peak summits and give scores measuring balance of forward- backward tags".

It's not clear for me, both options use broader called peaks to refine then ? Or is it possible for example with refinepeaks to directly call small peaks ?

Thanks.

Julie
