i ve promlem regardin sound in flash...

Hey folks..am gurpreet...a novice flash developer...
am makin an e book in flash...in which pages turn over by interactive
buttons...
ive put background music in loops..
so in one page i ve embedded some video...the problem is...sound
overlapping...
the backgruond music and vioce in video overlapps

i want that wenever we reach video page...the back ground sound stops
and video plays...and wen we go ahead then again music starts...
i ve used stopallsounds(); bt it permanently stops sound...
plz help...am in great need...
