Flash 8 loop problem

I have made a little flash movie with two images fading in and out...
I want to have the movie end when the second image fades in but it
just loops back to the start... also is there a way to ease the start
and transition over to the second image. right now it kind of looks
like an instant start stop and then loops back and does it again....
new to flash but having fun and if you know of a video tutorial that
covers this I would love to view it..... thanks in advance
