You may have seen the announcements on macromedia.com concerning the future
of xRes, as well as Extreme 3D. We are stating publicly that these products
are not in development. You can see our announcement on the product software
page for xRes at:
http://www.macromedia.com/software/xres/
As development for these products has ceased, here is our plan for future
support:
Telephone support will continue for 6 months from the announcement of the
Director Shockwave Internet Studio 7. That announcement took place on
December 15, 1998. Support for xRes will cease June 15, 1999.
The xRes (and Extreme 3D ) discussion groups will remain open through June
15, 1999 as well.
Support areas for these products on macromedia.com will also be phased out
during this time period, however, technotes will remain searchable there.
