What is the status of Xres? I got Xres as part of the Freehand Graphics
studio package (version 5.5 of FH, can't remember what version of xres,
something like 2.x??).

I never found it quite as useful as Photoshop, and while I still have the
CD, removed the SW. I haven't seen anything new about xres from Macromedia.
Is it still considered an "active" product?

Unfortunately, not. Macromedia has abandoned Extreme 3d and Xres. Even this
newsgroup will be discontinued as of the 11th (I think) of this month.
Sorry, but at least you aren't depending on it constantly.
