The blank browser window shows the following:
[developer's URL]/evhelp/whcsh_home.htm#id=2
where the map ID# for the topic is 2. I think the developer should add the
RoboHelp name of the window in his call to Help, but I am not sure about that.
What do you recommend to get rid of the interim blank browser window?

Are you using the RoboHelp CSH API for the help call?
Which version of RH are you using? The answer probably depends on the version
because they changed some code having to do with this issue in v8.

At present, the developer is not using the RH CSH API to call the topic. We
just installed RoboHelp 8; I am now publishing the Help in RH8. We can use the
API to call Help, if that is more efficient. Please let me know where to get
more information.

The CSH API helps with launching help using map IDs. I'm not sure why
whcsh_home.htm would be opening if you're not using the API. You may have to
do some testing to see whether your developer's method or the API works better.
