When i get to the page to download the new flashplayer nothing pops up to start
install. Please tell me why, i havent been able to use my computer properly for
ages now.

I have the exact same problem. It is a registry problem, i have tried
everything from running "SubInAcL" but it says "1 syntax errors.
C:\Windows\System32\Macromed-Create file error: 1314 A required privledge is
not held by the client." I am running it as the administrator already. I have
also tried to restore my computer to an earlier date but it does not go back as
far enough, to before this has happened. flash player is uninstalled. It
seems like i've tried everything, hopefully someone can help!! It's pretty
frustrating, thanks.
