installing HOmesite on two system

I called the customer service desk and the lady said, without hesitation, that
I could install Homesite on my laptop and desktop but something makes me think
that since it's an d/l and not cd I can't.
Any information before I buy the product or look for something else.

Still not sure how to d/l a registered(paid) version on the two systems.
