I have HomeSite 5.5 and the spell checker isn't working. I'm not sure if the dictionaries are loaded. How can I check that? How do I link to the MS Word dictionary?

Options > Settings > Spelling - are there dictionaries listed (defaults
are American English and HTML).

These should relate to files in C:\Program Files\Macromedia\HomeSite
5\Spelling

I they are missing you can download them (and other languages) from
http://www.adobe.com/support/dictionaries/

Hello.

Thanks for your prompt reply. I tried your suggestions and it didn't work. I
have two files in the folder "spelling," html.clx and ssceam2.clx. When I
downloaded the dictionary from Adobe, there were two extracted files that I
could not copy (using Windows Explorer) to the spelling folder. These files are
ssceam.tlx and a newer version of ssceam2.clx. So I still do not have the spell
checker opeational. Where do I go from here?

My guess is that sounds like a Permissions problem! Are you using XP or VISTA
and perhaps not logged in as Administrator when you are doing this change? is
Homesite CLOSED and not running wqhen you try to do the change? Just a couple
thoughts ...
