Anyone know any tools for exporting freehand files to .DWG or .DXF.

I found a file that converts Illus-trator files to .DWG and .DXF.

Hi

The only way I've found (so far to be perfect):

In FH: File > Export > Save as Windows Metafile (WMF)
In Autocad: IMPORT (command line) or Insert > Windows Metafile.

The object is placed as a Autocad BLOCK entity (you can Explode it and
modify it).
FH'strokes greather than 0 are imported like many polygons (closed
polylines). Strokes equal than 0 are polylines.

Sorry my bad english ;-)

Simple polygons and simple lines can be exported to shapefile with
MaPublisher (www.avenza.com) Autocad Map can import shapefiles.

Flash can import Freehand and export DXF. The trial version should do.

Hi
The WMF export option is not available in my export choices in FHMX. Am I
missing something? I, too, would like to be able to export my FH illustrations
as DXF files. Does anyone know a solution?
Thanks
Gary

I see that Flash MX2004 Professional exports .DXF files. So if you have it, you
can copy and paste FH objects into Flash and export them as .DXF files. I
haven't had my client attempt to use it yet, but I will update this topic when
I find out from them if they were successful in using the files.

If you are on Macintosh, then there is no WMF export option.
