I read on several discusion-groups there is a upgrade of freehand 10 (10.01)
for download but I can't find it.
I didn't hear or see any messages in this forum which is the official MM
Freehand forum, Why ???? After a year of frustrating fh 10 bugs, 1000,-
dollar down the drain, there is still nothing.... Is MM listening to the
several users all over the world and are they working on a solution????
They say they do but after one year there is still nothing. And if there is
something, The Upgrade 10.01, we will have to find out ourselves, no sign of
MM...........................whats next? leaving Fh and try to use Corel or
AI????

This is a reposting of the information that I posted on October 8th.

I would like to take a moment to mention some details about the resent
availability and the lack of announcement made by Macromedia about it.

FreeHand 10.0.1 is the version of Macromedia FreeHand currently available
with the Macromedia Studio MX. As I have stated in the past, this version
was not developed as a solution to the known bugs currently found in
FreeHand 10.0. This was specifically developed to "play nicely" with the
other products in the Studio MX.

After the release we had a few customers report that some of their issues
were resolved once the installed the Studio MX. We then felt that we would
like to make this available to those that could benefit from this version.
Please understand 10.0.1 may not be for everyone, so please review the
documentation available prior to downloading and installing.

Because this was not designed as an "updater" there is not a small patch
file that you can download and run to change you existing install of
FreeHand 10.0. The installer is the full application installer. You will be
required to uninstall FreeHand 10.0 prior to install FreeHand 10.0.1.

This is NOT the "silver bullet" solution to all of your FreeHand 10
problems. It does not resolve any of the issues listed in TechNote 16273
located at:
http://www.macromedia.com/support/freehand/ts/documents/fh10_issues.htm

Now, if you still want more information about the 10.0.1 version of
FreeHand, please see TechNote 16560 located at:
