I'm running FreeHand 8 on Windows 2000. I export a document containing a
postscript fonts as a PDF. When I open the PDF in Acrobat, I get a message,
"There was an error processing a page. Bad font or font descriptor object."
I can write the same text from a Word document to Acrobat & have it process
free of errors. Is there any fix? Thanks!

Here's one possibility; Freehand requires that a Postscript printer be
set up for the current document in order for proper embedding of fonts
within EPS files. It stands to reason that this might also affect font
handling in PDF exports.

However, it's a moot point, because it appears as if you already have
the fix. If you have Acrobat, then you will get far better results by
printing to Distiller instead of using FreeHand's PDF export.
