Hi,
Can anyone help me with these two Fontographer 4.1.5 problems ?
I am using a Mac.

1# I want to generate a font for use on a PC that not only works in
windows but on any program i.e.. with any fonts i have generated for PC
in Fontographer and given to friends they tell me they could only use
them in windows not in word or other programs ?

2# Fonts i generate in Mac format and use in Clarisworks, Microsoft
Office etc seem to loose most of their kerning but if used in Freehand
the Kerning is perfect ?

Much appreciated
Mike Brackenridge

Think I can help with this one, Mike. Neither of the two above software
progs support kerning.

Hi,
Freehand is a professional tool and its own text engine has the abilityto
read the kerning info that is embeded in the font

Please describe the problem more clearly. Can your friends see the fonts in
the menu of their applications? If so, perhaps the font doesn't have enough
memory... If I had to take a wild guess I would suggest that you go to
http://www.macromedia.com/support/search and look for "3710"

Make sure your applications support kerning and that it is turned on.
