I think I got it in 1999. . .

I can't get it to work. I just recently installed it. I haven't even gotten
it to accept the S/N it gives me the message: "Could not initialize the
program because there is not enough memory available to run. code = -30202"
I have 2 gigs of memory! I haven't used Fontographer for 2 or 3 years. but I
used to use it all the time. does anyone know what my problem could be?

You have too much memory. ;) I presume you're on Windows ... apparently
FOG/Win gets seriously confused when confronted with memory addresses
over a certain length, I believe 29 bits (i.e. for more than 512 MiB).

There used to be a tech note about this issue on Macromedia's website,
but I doubt Adobe still has it. Try searching in the Google archive for
this NG; there were quite a few postings about the memory issue up to a
couple of years ago. You might also try FontLab's website; they bought
FOG from Macromedia before the Adobe takeover, and may have some tips
for dealing with it. (They'll also have upgraded versions, and if you're
a registered user you should be eligible for a discount -- likewise for
'crossgrading' to FontLab Studio.)
