Button tutorial in FlashMX 2004

Hi All,

Sorry to be a pest but the message I put in last night seems to be gone. I
checked the first three pages and didn't see it.

Anyhow, has anyone got this tutorial to work right? I'm having a problem with
creating a symbol from the button. I'm told to double click button 1 and then
move to the color "Over" box, then click on button 1 and chose 'convert to
symbol'. The problem is, when I select the 'Over' box, there is no button
anymore, just a plus sign where it used to be.

I've tried creating the symbol before switching to the 'Over' box and then
following the rest of the tutorial but then the button starts off as red with
no mouse near it. It does change from red to black to red when the mouse it put
over it so the change part is working. I just need to know how to keep the
button black when there is no mouse near it and I know that it's the 'Over'
step that is messing up.

Any ideas?
