Personally, I can't make use of that report, no. Wish I could! It's
important you understand that although this forum is occasionally reviewed
by actual Adobe staff (especially after a new release), the lion's share of
replies is made by non-Adobe volunteers. People like myself simply don't
have behind-the-scenes access to to Adobe's internal bug logs. Have you
tried contacting Adobe directly for support?

Aha. Heck, call back then! Ask to speak to a supervisor.
It doesn't make sense not to help you evaluate their product, so if your
first tier support can't help you with that, I would try asking to be
connected with someone who deals with trials -- or just a supervisor ...
someone who has the authority to re-route calls.
I wish I could help you more with this issue!
Usually, the crash on launch are due to a corrupted workspace. Please try
deleting Flash's user configuration directory. On Vista, it's located at:
/Users/<username>/AppData/Local/Adobe/Flash CS4
Thanks,

Hi. I was having the same problem on 32 bit Vista where all other
progs in the CS4 suite would work fine (and had been for some time)
and Flash decided to stop booting up one day for no apparent reason.
I renamed the configuation file in the /Users/<username>/AppData/Local/
Adobe/Flash CS4 as described above (was concerned about deleting it)
and Flash made a new one on next boot up and so far seems to working
fine. Just thought I'd share and many thanks for the help....
Thanks, you help me with this problem, rename the folder seems to
help.

I've noticed one thing that causes this is that there is a corrupt
file located either in the same directory as the FLA being opened, or
a directory branching off of that directory. It took me maybe 20
minutes of moving folders outside of the "tree" to pinpoint the exact
file. It was a corrupt (maybe 1 line) text file =/
Hi. I just installed the Adobe Master Collection and Ihave the extact
problem with Adobe Flash CS4. All other applications like Photoshop,
AfterEffects, etc. worked just fine but Flash CS4 tryes to boot but
when the workspace is loading, my desktop refreshes and an error
message appears. I've already delete the configuration folder and it
didn't help at all. Flash re-loaded all the conf files again an the
same problem. The last post that I read in this forum someone
mentioned abot a file being corrupted, a text file. Please, If can
anyone give me the name of the file and the line that is corrupted so
I can fix it or delete it.
Thanks
