Hi everybody!
Thanks for any help ahead of time.

I'm working on delivering stand-alone Flash 3 projectors with
sampled sound (WAVs) and animation. When I import uncompressed
WAV files, Flash 3 distorts them by adding clicks and pops and
occasional "bumps". This is WITHOUT any compression on the
sound file coming in AND going out. It happens whether my source
sound is 16b/44k, 8b/44k, 8b/22k or 8b/11k. Our requirement is
8b/11k. When I play the exact same sound file in media player
or SoundForge, there is none of the "pops, ticks and bumps"

Any help would be appreciated. This is our first deliverable
for a record company and is critical to them (and us!).

Hdwr: Generic 166MMX PC, soundblaster compatible sound card, etc.

p.s. - on the MAC it's not a problem (with AIFF) files.

THANKS!

Hi there!

I'm experiencing the same situation.
Flash 2 and 3 on Windows NT4 doesn't properly play back audio files,
even if it's someone else's files (ie. not created here).
The same files then played back on a Mac play ok.

What's wrong? Please help!

I'm not reading this newsgroup regularly so answeralso to my private
e-mail address, thank you!
