How? Is it possible, or do I have to create a custom font to do this?

What are you asking? Your topic title, summary, and post all seem to be
pointing in totally different directions. One is talking about displaying
numbers in European, not American (I would assume you are referencing
06/10/2008 is October 6, 2008, not June 10, 2008 as we would assume in US).

The summary is saying something about commas and periods....?

And your post references a possible custom font?

In some traditional European notations $1,600.05 would be written $1.600,05.

And, as best I know, there is no magic switch to just make it work. Also I
don't think you would want a font because that would mess up any regular text.
Generally you need to find some code for formatting the display of numbers.

There are probably many out there so I would try a google search. If you can't
find any, post back.

Perhaps you do not know that in many European countries, numbers are written
differently from the US. I make anjmations in many languages. When Flash
calculates values in a dynamic text box, I want those numbers to be expressed
correctly for that language. Why is that so hard to understand?
Anyway, I made a variant font with the period and comma switched and it works
fine.
