morphing images in Flash

Hello,
I'm using Flash 4, and i was just wondering if there is a good way to morph
from one image to another. what i've been doing is creating two different
layers with a different image on each layer. then, over the course of about
30 frames, i have one image go from 100% alpha to 0% and the other image go
from 0% to 100%. this looks effectively like one is morphing into the other,
but the illusion is not GREAT. is there a better way to do it?

For true morphing of bitmapped images, you'll have to look to another
application -- that is not a function provided by Flash.

did you play with Shape tween yet ?

draw something on frame 1 , click few frames away from frame 1 and insert
blank frame (key F7). Now draw something else on that frame .
Click on frame 1 again - right click button - properties - tweinning -
shape .
See what happen
